Hyperactive’82 is created by Ang Ziwei, a web designer in Singapore. Intended as a venue for me to host my portfolio online for any potential clients and employers, it is also a public blog where i post everything from philosophy, web design, web trends to anime, pop cultures. More about the creation of this site below.

Backend

Hyperactive’82 runs on Wordpress with its own custom build theme. The following plugins, get recent comments, flickRSS are used alongside several other plugins created by me.

Navigation

The contents of Hyperactive’82 are arranged in Categories. All post in a category can be accessed using the quick access drop list on the side bar(on your right) or the category list on the bottom on the front page. Articles posted are also tagged with keywords and a tag cloud is always present on the bottom of the sidebar. There are some slight similarity of hyperactive’82’s navigation with NYTimes.com design Director Khoi Vinh’s personal blog as i am a active reader of Khoi Vinh’s blog and particularly liked the blog’s interface, thus some references was taken during the planning of hyperactive’82.

Design

The website is designed with a 12 column grid system with a simple b/w colour scheme. Colours is generally reserved only for things like hyperlinks and buttons.

Coding

Hyperctive’82 theme is designed and hand-coded by me using web-standard XHTML 1.0 transitional markups.
