CoCo Wang, a comic artist from china created a series of comic strips in the aftermath of the Sichuan earthquake that rocked the hell out of china Sichuan and its surrounding areas last month. Each of these strips tells a true touching story of the aftermath of the quake and more can be found on her website here.

“I can’t just sit at home and do nothing, I have been crying my eyes out in the past three days, I have never felt more proud of my country and people… their love, courage and kindness rock me to my core! I have decided to tell these touching stories by drawing comics.”
Thus wrote Coco Wang on the introduction of her website which hosted these comic strips. Some of these strips are light-hearted and comical while most are heart-wrenching. You may have seen footage of broken walls, flatten town and bloodied bodies from news covering the earthquake but these strips retold the many inside details of the human dramas and courages of the victims and rescuers alike that major news provider outside of China may have missed out in their coverage of the major development of the earthquake’s aftermath.

Left : 2 of Coco Wang’s Comic Strips. 1 detail the sacrifice of a school teacher to save his student and another detail the rescue process of another school boy. Head over to Coco Wang’s website for bigger version of the comic and other comic strips.
